Pro Feature: Game Finder is available to Pro subscribers. Free users can browse listings but cannot create posts or respond.

Browsing Available Games

View games posted by other teams looking for opponents.

  1. 1. Go to Game Finder tab (or from menu)
  2. 2. View the "Browse" tab for available games
  3. 3. Tap any listing to see details
  4. 4. Use filters to narrow results

Filter Options

Age Group

U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Varsity, Adult

Skill Level

Recreational, Competitive, Elite

Distance

Within 25, 50, 100, or 200 miles

Game Type

Scrimmage, Exhibition, League

Date Range

Filter by availability dates

MHR Rating

Filter by rating range (hockey only)

Posting a Game

Create a listing to let other teams know you're looking for opponents.

  1. 1Tap the + button in Game Finder
  2. 2Select which team is posting (if you have multiple)
  3. 3Enter game details:
  4. 4Add your availability (dates/times)
  5. 5Set preferred location
  6. 6Tap 'Post' to publish

Post Details

  • Title - Brief description (e.g., "Looking for U14 scrimmage")
  • Age Group - Your team's age classification
  • Skill Level - Rec, Competitive, or Elite
  • Game Type - Scrimmage, Exhibition, or League
  • Dates - When you're available
  • Location - Preferred venue or "flexible"

MHR Integration (Hockey)

For ice hockey teams, RosterHub integrates with MyHockeyRankings.

What is MHR?

MyHockeyRankings.com ranks youth hockey teams based on game results. The rating helps teams find appropriately matched opponents.

Setup

  1. 1. Go to Team Settings
  2. 2. Enter your MHR URL or Team ID
  3. 3. Rating syncs automatically

Tip: Your MHR rating appears on your Game Finder posts, helping other teams assess if you're a good match.

Responding & Messaging

When you find a suitable game, respond and message the other team.

Responding to a Post

  1. 1. Tap a game listing to view details
  2. 2. Tap "Respond" if you're interested
  3. 3. Add a message introducing your team
  4. 4. The posting team receives a notification

In-App Messaging

Once matched, you can message each other to:

  • • Finalize date and time
  • • Confirm location
  • • Discuss game format (periods, refs, etc.)
  • • Exchange contact info

Calendar Sync

When you confirm a game, it automatically adds to your team schedule.

  • Game appears on your team's Schedule tab
  • Team members can RSVP
  • Opponent name and location are pre-filled
  • Export to external calendar
